The Orangeburg Massacre:Forever Etched in History

South Carolina State University is not only a place where many have earned their degree, but its place where history was made. The Orangeburg Massacre refers to the shooting of protesters by South Carolina Highway Patrol Officers in Orangeburg, South Carolina near South Carolina State University on the evening of February 8, 1968.

Although I attend South Carolina State University and learned about it my Freshmen year, creating this video allowed me to look at it in a deeper context. I'm glad I was able to do this and learn more about this powerful event that took place in Orangeburg, South Carolina. There is even talks about an upcoming Orangeburg Massacre movie.
